The short answer

What is a refurbished laptop?

A refurbished laptop is a pre-owned machine that has been professionally tested, repaired where needed, data-wiped and certified before resale. In Malaysia it is often searched for as laptop second hand, laptop terpakai or komputer riba terpakai — but a certified refurbished unit is not simply used. It comes with a documented condition, a measured battery-health figure and a warranty, which a private second-hand sale rarely includes.

SCE Distributor sources ex-corporate business laptops, restores them at our facility in Cheras, Selangor, and supplies them to companies, schools, government agencies and individual buyers across Malaysia.

Included with every laptop

What you receive with each unit

The same five things on every machine — whether you buy one or five hundred.

  • Verified condition report — cosmetic grade and tested function, documented by the technician.
  • Certified data erasure — previous data destroyed before the operating system is reinstalled.
  • Battery-health figure — measured and recorded, so you know exactly what you are getting.
  • Clean, licensed operating system — reinstalled and ready to use.
  • Warranty with claim & exchange — plus optional theft and loss protection, including an up to 50% buy-back guarantee.

Condition grades

Grade A, B or C — choose the finish, not the reliability

Every grade passes the same functional QC. The grade describes cosmetic condition only.

Grade A

Excellent

Minimal to no visible wear. Indistinguishable from new at a glance. Ideal for client-facing roles.

Grade B

Good

Light cosmetic marks from normal use. Fully tested and reliable — the value sweet spot for fleets.

Grade C

Fair

More visible wear, same functional standard. Maximum savings for budget-led deployments.
